Easter Carrot Cutlery

Since I threatened to keep going with my Easter Egg Hunt 101 tips, I

thought I'd share another easy idea for a pretty

Easter table.

I'm not sure if you can even see it here, but I

made "carrot cutlery" to go along with the pretty

pastel paper plates (sshhhhhhhhh, don't tell ~

fine china just wasn't feasible for such a large

group!).

  I found

this idea in Family Fun Magazine back in 2006.

It's obviously one of their most popular ideas,

since it's STILL on their website!  It's really

easy.

Here's all you need:
Orange party napkins
green plastic cutlery
green pipe cleaners
(I used two different complimentary greens)

The napkins and cutlery were purchased at a party supply store and the pipe cleaners at Michael's.

Since I made these during my pre-blogging days I
don't have as-you-go pictures {sorry!}.

So here's Family Fun's easy instructions:

For each carrot, fold one of the paper napkins

into a rectangle. Don't be afraid to re-fold them

from their original configuration, whatever that

may be (i.e., a square, etc.).  Place a set of

utensils across the lower left corner of the

rectangle, fold in the lower right corner as shown,

then roll it up loosely.

Wrap one or two green pipe cleaners around the

napkin and necks of the utensils, then twist them

to secure, as shown.  Cut down the pipe cleaners

to size.

And voila'.

So simple, yet they really make a statement.  I was

pretty proud of mine, and have made them every

year for the great egg hunt.

Hope you like this tutorial, and stay tuned for a

few more Easter-themed crafts/decor tips to come

between now and Easter.

Spring, it's bound to be here soon.

Have a great week!

xoxo

http://www.nailsmag.com/news/91800/tech-tells-stories-of-heroic-women

here is my story in nails magazine this month. basically it is me saying that i am giving away my nail art for the most part (excluding big business) in order to gain fans, notoriety and a base of people who appreciate my hard work in exchange for them passing my name to girls who are creative and really want to learn something fun, have fun, be more self confident and learn a trade that will give them a better life for themselves...something they can always fall back on. in turn, i want to carve a path for my art....nails magazine totally has supported me throughout this...

please, go to this link

http://nailartgallery.nailsmag.com/robinmoses

become my 'fan' and when you do, it will help ensure new artists starting out will find me and learn nail art (even while in school!!!!!!, or it even is where schools GO to find art) so, it helps me SO MUCH if you fan me here.............if you guys stick these things everywhere and take 2 minutes to sign up (it doesnt even take an email validation) it really does help me get my nail art where i want it to go most of all.........

so i am sending out a prayer you guys see this and read it and do it right quick for me and i will be back on friday with some beautiful new stuff for you to learn :) please help pass this word out! if you can get me 100 subs...i will post a monday EXTRAVAGANZA...........I PROMISE. i will make monday..........so so so awesome. so please help me!

my love and respect
robin.

Dark angel wings and red roses

I massed up a few ideas and came up with this
Excuse the shady clean up. My cuticles are really dry so I'm trying not to use acetone on them too much. So I used Barry M in black for the base, the roses were Boots No7 in Siren and Collection 2000 Hot Looks in green for the leaves. The wings were white nail art pen with Barry M in 288 and I used OPI not like the movies for the detail on the wings. The details on the roses was black and white polish.

Do you think the photos are a bit better than normal? The seem more true to life in colour... yes I am *that* pale XD
Thanks for stopping by. Also today is the last day to be added to the nail blog weekly round up for this friday so if you haven't emailed me yet with your post do it before 6pm GMT on Thursday.
Thanks for all your amazing comments on my posts. I didn't realise how much comments meant to people before I started blogging but it really does make my day and make me want to post as much as possible :D

Meet Me at Na-Da Farm

Spring break is in full swing in our house so I've

not been too productive these past few days....but

I did want to share this with you.

In a few short weeks (ok, well, maybe a few more

than a few), I'll be going to Na Da Farm in

Esmond, Illinois for their bi-annual barn Event.

It'll be my first, despite the fact that I don't live

too terribly far from where all the action takes

place. I'm SO glad I'm now in the know and

wanted to share the info with all of you, dear

friends.

Na-Da Farm is actually the Illinois prairie

homestead of Anne Marie and her family.  She

graciously offers it up, along with their barns, for

a marvelous get-together of all things beautiful,

inspirational, vintage, whimsical, style-ful (I

know that's not a word!).  Some of the

artisits/vendors are my absolute favorites!  Jill

Harris, Jeanne Oliver, Beth Quinn, Jennifer

Rizzo, Polly Hood, Jeanine Burkhardt, Anne

Marie and more.......{visit Anne Marie's blog for

more info on these special ladies}

{Click on image for larger picture}

And to top it all off, the author of Romantic

Prairie Style, Fifi O'Neill, will be on hand to sign

her book!  I've already gotten my copy, have you?

(Psssssttt......Anne Marie's home is in it!!!)

It's a two-day event, starting Friday night with

the Boho Ball {I hear there'll be champagne ~

count me in, yeah!}

Honestly, I cannot tell you how EXCITED I am

to be going!  I'm actually counting the days!

{Click on image for larger picture}

So count them with me, and join us at the Farm

on May 20th and 21st!  See you there!

Review + Some nail tips and NOTDS

Hello dear Readers!
Another product for review I received came from Budgetgadgets. BudgetGadgets is an online retailer/wholesaler located in Shenzhen, China. They are selling quality electronic gadgets and services at wholesale price w/ free shipping anywhere!
They sell lots of accessories including gadgets for use at home and hobbies...
You
can visit their site @ BudgetGadgets.com..
P.S.
You will get 5% discount when you shop by using my coupon code artofnail5OFF..
Btw, the package includes a battery operated nail dryer and nail decorator.
In my case. It is difficult to maintain my long real nails and avoid cracks and chipping. So I used
transparent acrylic powder. 1st I applied acrylic powder on the tip of the inner part of my nails to support my long nails. Then I used the nail buffer to
flatten it and get rid of the excess acrylic powder. I'm satisfied with the nail buffer/decorator because it includes different shapes to select from
. Which ever is appropriate for your nails, it's very useful for me because it helps me easily clean up the excess acrylic powder which has hardened on my long nails.. You can't even notice that I applied acrylic support on the inner part of
my nails.. You can see the difference in the picture.. Before and after I used the nail buffer/decorator you will notice it's much smoother...
NOTE: This product was sent to me as a gift. I made this review based on my own ideas and preference on how to use them. My opinions about the quality of the said products are based on my personal judgements and the outcome of my usage.
and here are my NOTDs
Hope you like them! God Bless
