MAD FOR PLAID
On these nails I used a martha stewart glitter in brownstone mixed with clear acrylic. After I finished filing the nails I used a striping brush to paint on a plaid pattern. Finally I added a 3d pumpkin. This plaid pattern would be really cute using Christmas colors also.

Same idea as above just without the pumpkin.

On these nails I used acrylic in brownstone and added some festive Thanksgiving themed stickers. I also added orange and yellow dots with polish.

Charm Bracelet-Making Diva's Go-To Jewelry-Making Website of the Day
This week's Go-to Jewelry-Making website is Fire Mountain Gems and Beads or www.firemountaingemsandbeads.com. I already blogged about their Video Tutorials. Now I want to comment on the site in general and what it has to offer:
- Jewelry Maker's Library
- Jewelry-Making Techniques
- EncycloBEADia
The resources provided here are tremendous -- both from a product standpoint and an informational standpoint. The Jewelry-Maker's Library is comprised of free beading instructions and techniques. Its EncycloBEADia has charts, articles, a dictionary of beading terms, gemstone information and jewelry-making Q&A.
They carry, like, a gazillion beads. And their other products run the gamut from clay to findings to adhesives to stringing material. The list is endless. Free huge catalog, $5.00 FedEx Stuff the Box shipping and competitive pricing. Need I say more? Go there. Now.

OPPOSITE FADE
On these nails I switched the fade colors on every other nail. I also added fimo clay leaves from kennickkreations.com
PUMPKIN FADE
This is a fade I did with acrylic in acorn and ripe plum. I made a 3d pumpkin with ez flow acryic in candy corn. First I dip my brush in the monomer and damp it out on a paper towel. Then I pick up a small ball of orange acrylic. I place it on the nail and damp my brush out again. I shape it into a pumpkin then I lightly push a cuticle pusher into the acrylic to make it look like it has ridges like a real pumpkin. I then add a tiny bit of green acrylic to make a stem. Last I add a vine with a nail art pen. Of course I finish everything off with a gel top coat.
FADE FADE FADE FADE.....
Ok so I've done a lot of fades lately. Well when you start doing them they are addicting because they are just sooooo cool! This one is done with acrylic in blackberry and mystery.
POLKA DOTS, FADE, AND FUN!
On these nails I did a fade and then switched it up by doing white acrylic with dots on the ring fingers. Doing something different on the ring fingers is such an easy way to make the nails stand out and they're just cute and fun!
PURPLE FLOWER
On these nails I added flower stickers into the acrylic. I used a small drill bit and drilled a straight line on the edge of the nail. I filled it in with the purple acrylic. To finish off these nails I added dots with nail polish.

It actually turned out really well.

And here are some nails i have done today for my friend, it actually turned out really well, but pictures quality is not the best. She has gorgeous nails, and i hope that i ll do more designs on it. And by the way she is really really beautiful girl too. :)

I Do Believe in Fairies
I've created some Fairy Dust Necklaces for those of us who believe we can fly, if only in our dreams.
My Fairy Dust Necklaces are made with various types of cord, ranging in length from 18" to 24", and they are adorned with various types of fairy charms. The dust bottle is approximately 1 and 1/4" long, with a cute cork closure. Two types of dust are available -- either gold glitter or glow-in-the-dark. The glow-in-the-dark fairy dust is pretty cool. I've had some trouble finding nice fairy charms. If anyone has any ideas, please coment and let me know.
TIme to put the kids to bed. Gotta make sure they rest up before the big night! Ciao for now.

SAILBOAT SURPRISE
Hello! It's fun to play and swim at the beach during summer season... Can you guess what's my NOTD? I named it, "SAILBOAT SURPRISE" . This is my nautical themed nail art I submitted to
" nailjuice " , I made this freehand nail art design using two way nail art pen and thin brush, I used white base coat. Using two way nail art pen, draw wave design on the tip of your nail, I used sky blue nail art pen... After that, I used gold nail art pen to create thinner lines above the blue tip. Make a drawing of a small sailboat above the gold wave, I used black and brown polish, red polish for the flag design, on my middle finger I draw an anchor, I used red polish and I added black rhinestone design on it... For the finished product dub sponge on dark blue polish and sponge the upper part of the nail ( for cloud effect ) and apply top coat...
Here is the finished Nautical Theme Nail Art .... Hope you like it!
God Bless..

Jewelry Making Video Library Review
Okay, so the spider is not from a jewelry-making video. But it IS the craft for my son's Kindergarten Halloween party this Friday. I was pretty proud of myself -- the eyes really glow because there's a battery-operated votive candle inside it. We'll see how it goes trying to create it with a bunch of five-year-olds!
Today's video review comes to us through retailer Fire Mountain Gems and Beads. Their website www.firemountaingems.com is a great resource for a lot of things jewelry-related. Right now I'm just going to talk about their Free Jewelry-Making Video Tutorials. Currently there are 113 of them!
The tutorials cover a number of novice jewelry maker's questions, i.e., How to Use Crimp Covers or How to Use Molding Compound. There was even a tutorial entitled How to Buy, Restore and Modernize Grandma's Jewelry. The other tutorials set forth the how-to's for a number of jewelry designs. The nice thing is that each design comes with the video tutorial, complete written instructions and a materials list. Later in the week I'm going to blog about Fire Mountain Gems' actual products and the website's other resource offerings.
Only 3 more days till Halloween! Our house is very excited for the day to arrive. Tonight is pumpkin carving. Ciao.

The Eyes Have It
'Twas a very busy week last week, and while I have a photo of my party manicure, I'll post that later this week. For now, here's the manicure I'm sporting this week - the last Halloween nail art of the season for me.The colors I chose this week were traditional Halloween colors with a little bling - China Glaze "Liquid Leather" and "Spellbound", and Pure Ice in "Hot Tamale" (I have no idea why

Charm Bracelet Diva's Word of the Week : Pave'
Pave': pronounced pa-vay, is French for "pavement", a technique whereby the suraface of the jewelry is covered, or paved, with stones. The technique displays an illusionary bigger look because its multiple gemstones are usually combined with other types of gemstone settings to add more effect and beauty. The stones are set so closely together that no metal shows. The pave' setting is best for round, oval, princess, emerald, square and baguette cut gemstones. Go to www.viridiangold.com/jewelry-information-10.html and www.en.mimi..hu/jewelry/pave.html for some more info about pave' jewelry.
Pave' jewelry is quite trendy these days. Lucky Magazine's November issue showcases some spectacular pave' pieces in its Fall Jewelry Guide. (More on that in a later post.) They came up with pave' pieces for all budgets. My favorite is the goldtone "Fireball" necklace, $30.00 from Grayce by Molly Sims, www.hsn.com.
I would love to see a gorgeous pave' bracelet. If you have a photo, please send it on. Ciao for now.

THE EYE
Hi, five more days before halloween, so I decided to create a design for it... Anyway, when you see my nail art, what's the first thing that comes to mind? Does it look like Googly Eye? I named it, "THE EYE". By the way, what are your plans for this upcoming halloween? Do you put up halloween nail art like this?
I forgot to post this... that's my NOTD last week..
Here is a very simple nail art tutorial:
It's fun and easy to do, just apply white base coat I used caress snow white, let dry, I used elf black and red for the stamp, I used b47 cracked fauxnad image plate... make medium black dots on the middle of your nail, add small white dots at the center, then apply top coat....
I forgot to post this... that's my NOTD last week..
hope you like it!
