Fun with Fimo (Clay) Canes

Last week, I couldn't help myself, and ordered some clay canes from BeautyTech (linked to the right). Basically, these are made from fimo or other clays, and rolled together into a pattern, then reduced to itty-bitty diameters for nail art (and other things, of course). Christmas is coming, winter is approaching to many countries, but certainly not in Malaysia, so sad right? I wish there's snow during Christmas.

Some fun facts I've read, each snowflake has it's own design, and you can never find 2 snowflakes with the same pattern.

I've been shuffling between two different places for two different conferences. Can dieeeeeee! =p
And I've been messing around with my wires and pearls. I was surfing www.thefind.com and I was inspired by a few designs.

And so I quickly got down to wiring some pearls together and it turned out so cute! See the above picture. Can you spot the cluster of pearls together? Yah, that was what I ended up with after trying to wire like 6 pearls together! =p

This piece consist of pewter swan charm (handcarried from overseas and lead free), swarovski rhinestone ring, swarovski pearls, peach teardrop, cluster of swarovski pearls, czech flower.

Approximately 6.5cm in length inclusive of hooks.

Non-tarnish wires and 14k gold plated chains and hooks were used.

Absolutely no remakes.

This white beaded necklace is made with 14mm, 10mm, 8mm, 6mm glass beads, 8mm plastic beads, 8mm, 6mm crystal beads, 20mm jump rings.

Green Marbled

Last night, following instructions from the Mini Nail Blog (link to the right) on marbling, I tried it again, with some success, I think. I used her method of dotting the different colors on, then swirling them with a top coat brush (I had an older top coat that got thick, so I used that brush). I did better this time, though I think I need to work on my “swirling” techniques, but they didn’t

Gorgeous with Simple Nail Art Simple nail art not always make your nails look simple.. but sometimes simple designs can make it looks gorgeous. Like this cute design.. with pink nail color ,black strips, ribbon design are make this nail beauty.

I discover this amazing way to make use of jump rings. I find it totally unique and adorable, though it was something really labour consuming. My fingers felt sore upon completion of this bracelet.

Made with jump rings only. I've made this for myself, but if you're really interested in buying something like this, do let me know. This will cost a bit more than my usual bracelets, without the charms, it will cost about RM30 :)
