The necklace is made with silk dupioni ribbon which looks nicely frayed as it wears. The tutorial used 12 beads, but I'm stumped after 2. I think I'll add some vintage-inspired charms instead of beads. I should have it finished by tomorrow and I'll post it for sure.
The only problem I had with making it is that I found it really hard to close the end bars which hold the ribbon. These are made of antique brass and I had a really hard time trying to get them totally closed around the ribbon. I used my chain nose pliers as they suggested but it didn't work so well for me....Any suggestions?
Time for a tivo'd "24" with the hubby. Ciao.
